Day 4 of Vacation Bible School

This has been an amazing week at Vacation Bible School! Today we all learned that the Bible helps us stand strong! Throughout this entire week these amazing kids have raised $1,294.65 for the children at the Homestretch community. That is INCREDIBLE! Your children have wonderful and giving hearts.

We read the Bible story of King Josiah following God’s Way, 2 Kings 22:1-23:23.

In their imagination stations they got way-to-glow pens that help them see that it is amazing when God’s truth is revealed in our lives. It shows kids how the truth of God’s Word lights our path. Our key scripture verse was Psalms 119:105,

Tonight at home, work with your child on this verse and help them understand what it means for God’s Word to light our path, or have them help YOU understand!

Victoria was our buddy who helped us learn all of this today!

Reminders!!!
Sunday, June 16, all VBS children are invited to wear their t-shirts to church and help lead 11:15 worship with songs #1, Stand Together and #5, Come Thou Almighty King. Meet in the Children's Choir room at 10:40am (or will be picked up from Sunday School). They should wear their VBS shirts.  They will be taken from the Children's Choir Room to the Sanctuary . Then they will be released to their parents.

Thank you all for being a part of this wonderful week with us at RPC!

Day 3 of Vacation Bible School

Yet again, a great day at Vacation Bible School! Today we all learned that trusting God helps us stand strong! The boys won the penny war again this morning, so we need those girls to comeback for another win on our last day! We are on our way to providing a lot of bicycles for children in our community without one of their own.

We read the Bible story of Jesus dying and coming back to life, Luke 22:39-24:12. They got to go inside of the “tomb” and see what it might have looked like inside the tomb where Jesus was.

In their imagination stations they got anti-gravity tubes that help them see that even when their world is turned upside down, they can trust that God won’t let them go. Our key scripture verse was Isaiah 26:4,

Tonight at home, work with your child on this verse and help them understand what it means for Jesus to be our rock. Or have them help YOU understand!

Sir Valiant was our buddy who helped us learn all of this today!

Reminders!!!
Tomorrow is water play during recreation! Please send your children in clothes that can get wet.

See you in the morning for another wonderful day!

Day 2 of Vacation Bible School

Another wonderful day at Vacation Bible School! Today we all learned that prayer helps us stand strong! As predicted, the boys won the penny war this morning! We are on our way to providing a lot of bicycles for children in our community without one of their own.
We read the Bible story of Nehemiah persevering to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, Nehemiah 1-6. Be sure to have your children tell you all about this story and what they did in Bible time today! Some of them had Nehemiah himself in their classroom!

They got Flying Flacons that remind them that life is balanced with God! Our key scripture verse was Philippians 4:6,

Tonight at home, work with your child on this verse and help them understand why prayer is important and why trusting in God to take care of us is part of having a strong faith.

Our character who helped us learn all of this today was Swift!
